As of today, Georgia legislators are allowed to pre-file bills that they wish considered during the upcoming legislative session that starts in January. They may pre-file between November 15 and the Friday before the legislative session begins (second Monday in January).
In recent years, the first set of pre-filed bills were right-wing-nut bills put forth by Bobby Franklin, of no small renown. They had to do with Personhood and Gold Standard and 10th Amendment stuff, just to name a few. This year, Representative Franklin is dead and I’m very curious to see who will submit the first pre-file, and what that bill will be.
Stay tuned!
