I’m all for religious tolerance, at least as long as the religion in question isn’t trying to impose it’s crazy beliefs on others, but there are limits. Say, the proscription from becoming sterile before operating on an open torso.

I just read something somewhere recently about doctors and nurses who wear wedding bands harboring more bacteria on their hands than those who do not wear wedding bands.
I believe it. All those little dings and scratches in rings can fit a bunch of bacteria, I bet.
I think the study was also referring to the fact that most people don’t wash thoroughly enough to get the bacteria that is hiding behind the ring band.
