The Great Internet Mersenne Prime Search continues. Mersenne 8,797,639 is not prime. So says my computer, the slowest computer in the world.

Sorry to hear that.
I did GIMPS for about six months, and processed approximately two prime-candidates. I realized that I was never going to get anywhere with this, and it was slightly affecting my processor speed, so I ended up cancelling my account.
Sad, but true.
