My wife is a professor. She spends approximately 169 hours per week during the school year grading various things. She never avails herself of my (constantly) offered assistance. She insists upon a high and rigourous method for grading, unlike other tried and true methods.

Favorite Photo of the Week
I was a slacker in many respects this week. One of those respects was that I haven’t pulled out my camera since May 31. Bad Bill…
So, instead, I’ll post one from my Flickr Favorites. This is a pain. I can instantly post one of my own images to this blog, but it is much more time consuming with someone else’s. I have to download the image, than post it to the website, than get the correct Creative Commons tag… It’s much easier if I merely take some pictures!

GM Concept Cars
What will GM do for the future personal vehicle?
Kosher Transportation Funding
This article, although interesting in itself, is included for the following line, “We need KOSHER Transportation Funding, Transportation legislation that prohibits pork.” That is a great quote.
Rolling Stones Halt Traffic
Werchter, Belgium had a bit of an issue with the Rolling Stones. Traffic jams kept people from the concert. For the price they probably paid, I bet those people are a bit peeved.

Blasphemy Challenge
Damn yourself to hell. Get a free DVD.
The linked website is the Blasphemy Challenge, sponsored by the Rational Response Squad. I learned about this challenge through Skepticality, a skeptics podcast I listen to as time presents. Skepticality is also the official podcast of Skeptic Magazine, so you can hear interviews with Michael Shermer, Richard Dawkins, and others on a regular basis.

Successfully Non-Auto
Regulation Greenhouse Gases
Trucks, Tolls, Congestion, and Solutions
A short treatise on truck impacts for the Nation’s highways.
Maui Demonstration
As mentioned previously, a Maui, HI, citizen group produced an exceptional traffic jam with a simulated Hawaii Superferry arrival. Sitting here in Atlanta, only reading news articles, I don’t think the problems will be as bad as demonstrated, due to bottlenecks coming off the ferry.

Satan Spawn!
Yes, I, too, am a satan-worshipping evil-doer who eats babies by the darkness of night.
